~ Urth Caffé Team – Dubai & Saudi Arabia
Urth Co-founders Shallom and Jilla Berkman recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and Dubai and have been in talks about collaborating directly with Saudi coffee farmers in the Jazan region near Yemen. Bordering the Red Sea—one of the warmest and saltiest seawaters in the world and also consisting of agriculturally rich plains, forests and mountains—this unique region supports a diverse variety of plant life. This unique and fertile region has been producing an heirloom variety coffee for centuries.

lush and green with plenty of mist and rain to grown an ancient heirloom variety of arabica coffee bordering the famous Yemen coffee region.
The treasured Saudi Khawlani coffee, which is cultivated in the region of the Khawalan mountains is on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Berkmans are planning another trip in the upcoming year to visit the farmers in this area to have them produce the first exclusively heirloom organic premium Saudi coffee for Urth Caffe.

Another exciting development is a collaboration between Urth Caffe Saudi and Noug—the premiere camel milk company, who produce premium camel's milk, chocolate, and gelato. Urth Caffé will be serving the first camel milk caffe latté in the United States! Camel's milk has many health benefits. It is said to be anti-inflammatory, immune modulating and is low in sugar and cholesterol. It is also filled with antioxidants and vitamins such as calcium, potassium, iron, copper, magnesium and vitamins A, B, C, D & E. It could also be great for those with a lactose intolerance or cow's milk allergy. Making camel's milk not only extremely nutritious but very delicious!
